Personio is designed for European businesses, and so is the need for structured employment references. Many European countries have strong norms around providing formal references when employees leave. RefPassport automates this obligation so your HR team does not have to handle each request manually. The reference is created once, and future employers verify it themselves.
Not every departure is a resignation or termination. In Personio, many employees have fixed-term contracts with defined end dates. RefPassport monitors these end dates in addition to status changes. When a contract expires, the reference is created automatically, even if nobody remembers to update the employee's status. Nothing falls through the cracks.
We access employee name, job title, department, employment dates, and work email via Personio's read-only API. We cannot modify any data in your Personio account. Employee contact details are used only to deliver the reference and are not stored after delivery.
Yes. RefPassport monitors employee status changes in Personio. When an employee moves through your offboarding process and their status changes to inactive, or their contract end date is reached, we create the reference automatically.
API access is available on Personio's Professional and Enterprise plans. On the RefPassport side, HRIS integrations are available on the Enterprise plan.
